Thought i would make you aware of this. As everyone knows on 02 you can get a simcard which gives you 300 free texts if you top up £10. (if you dont have one they do them free all the time watch this site! or get one via https://www.02.co.uk/nus for 99p)

Now 02 have a deal where by if you top up at least £15 a month they also give you 150 cross network off peak minutes! free

so for £15 you get 300 free texts plus 150 cross network minutes and still have £15 calling credi!. whats more if you top up in boots they usually have a machine where you might be lucky to get a voucher (150 points on a £15 spend) which means you have only paid about £13! PLUS every 3 months you get 10 % back on your top ups! AND if you have been with 02 for 6 monts or more you are also entitled to a treat every 6 months! dial 2211 for details! (eg they give you 25 free minutes and you can change your free gift every month!)

Also just now if you buy a phone via o2 you will get 20 % back on your top up for life! (instead of 10 %) also go to https://www.02.co.uk/nus for a great deal. make sure you go to all phones and look at the phones and do not click on the front page phones as it doesnt seem to apply the disocunt on the front page eg the nokia 6030 is £49.99 on front page but only £29.99 when you look under all phones using that link!

so if your after a new phone this might be the deal for you - 20 % back on your top ups! hopefully £2 in points from boots, 150 off peak minutes, 300 free texts, and an 02 treat after you have been with o2 for 6 months. and you still have the credit on your phone!

PLEASE NOTE TO GET THE EXTRA 150 MINUTES AND ALSO TO GET THE EXTRA 10 % ON TOP UPS you must phone 02 to ask them to sign u up to that. You can get the 10 % back on top up's by dialing a number from your handset but can't remember it but to get the 150 extra minutes you have to call 02 to opt into this. note if you are on the 02 orginal 300 texts you will need to change to the 02 online talkalot tarriff meaning instead of 30 or 40p a minute during the day and 10p at night its 25p for first 3 minutes then 5p for rest of the day. (but you still get your 300 free texts)

to call 02 free dial 4444 and pretend to top up witha credit card, enter it wrong about 8 times i think by say pressing 999# 8 times and it will give you an option to go to customer services which will be free!!

In addition to this

1. You are entitled to another free bolt on for 3 months as a joining treat.
2.If you go abroad they will give you one free call (60 Secs),and one free text every week,back to the uk.
3.You can also have on top of this the intl bolt on (Send texts overseas for 10p) free until early January.

is this a diff. tarriff or same as above?
its getting rather confusing!

You can have a 100 anytime X-Net mins if you top up by £10, or 300 texts.
If you top up by £15 you can have 300 texts and 150 offpeak X-Net mins.You cant have the 100 anytime and 150 offpeak together for £15.

No you need top up by £15 to get the the 150 offpeak x-net calls and the 300 messages,and you get to keep the £15 to use.

It seems to be showing contract fones not to buy phones??

The O2 website is very strange ! you can often get as far as the confirmation page then receive a page saying the transaction cannot be completed, quite frustrating.

Click on All Phones.Their is usually about 3 pages of phones to look at, some on contract, some on payg ,and some on both.
