522L is correct on his P60 and is NOT Basic Rate
Check his latest wage slip ~ you will find its changed to 543L
Your tax code changes yearly with the budget and the changes the chancellor makes within it
Sorry, but you're not owed anything from The Tax Man

This replaced the married mans tax band when tax was equalised to get rid of the sex discrimination in the tax system.
The bands no longer rise with children as they used too.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0
