Can I justify spending £170 on a "treat"?

I agree with the others, you're not putting yourself into further debt just extending the time it will take to clear them. You also need to be happy with your dog and you need to enjoy life too. Go for it.Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Right gang... I've booked the training!! Is it normal to feel faint???
I feel good, but also scared at spending so much, this is very very odd! Before my LBM I'd never have thought twice about it, but now I feel a mix of sick, excited, worried and happy all at once...
Tomorrow I will phone up and book the riding lessons too...
BUT (yes... this is my reasoning LOL) I will only be allowed a lesson every week if I carry on the "make £10 extra a day" challenge (even if I only make £5 a day) by ebaying junk from the loft and other areas... It's the only way I can feel I'm not wasting money! (Daft huh?)DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Well done you!
I'm exactly the same, I feel I have to justify everything I spend & have to either have a money off voucher or have researched for the cheapest deal
I think it's a case of being scared of making the same mistake twice ( or more:o in my case )
You will feel more relaxed with a well behaved dog, & I'm sure the horse riding will not only get you fitter, but will also have a calming effect on you.
BUT - you will need to take up a "certain" hobby;) if you want to get pregnant:rotfl:Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

No, not daft at all - just proof that this debtbusting malarky really is life changing!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Bloody hell Mrs Tine! That was quick! You got something to tell us already?!
lol :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Ok, So I over edited you quote, Sorry just having a bit of fun.
I think you more than deserve to do this. And if it helps a little I see the dog training as an investment rather than a treat.
You got me so convinced I want to pay for you! lol
Enjoy! The light is still going to be there at the end of the tunnel!
Best of luck to you in your quest to become a mommy.
Take care

As for convincing you then I'll let you know where to send the cheque poosmate
Seriously though... I never expected to feel sick at the thought of spending non-essential money!
And no I guess you're right it's not a "treat" but it's not under my budget heading of "need this to live" eitherNot even the "£20 for a takeaway" special budget section
I feel kinda good about it in an odd way. Am I the only person struggling to spend money like this? :rotfl:DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

What matters to you the most?
I can only speak for myself but when I first joined here and for the following 2 years and a bit the only thing that mattered to me was becoming debt free. I sacrificed a lot, include a trip of a lifetime.
Now my priorities have changed. I want to start living my life again. The debts are taking the back seat. I still want them paid off but I'm in control of them now and I'm not fussed that they will take longer to pay off.
It's a massive swing in direction but all that matters is what's right for you.
Remember, you aren't a prisoner to your debt.0
