whats the worst / useless freebie you have received

  • sent off for what I thought was a free promo cd from a band and turned out to be a blank cdr (in special packaging) for recording a download only track onto (that you had to pay for)

    Telling me about the sea..."
  • It's amazing to read all about the good and bad freebies. I think the J-Lo plastic jewel is probably the most useless, although my little niece did like it and keeps it in her jewellery box!

Have had some great freebies - Heaven chocolate bar, the pedigree chum puppy pack, the fairy liquid manicure set was excellent quality and the new home pack is brilliant and somehow I received two - so even better!

I suppose the worst ones are those that never come - but that won't stop us will it?! :rotfl:

That fibre calculator from (?) Warburtons was a bit crap. It was just a bit of cardboard. :o

I love all my freebies, in fact I'll go as far as to say that some of them are better than my wins!

oh, yeah, i got it ages ago too! i use it every week
but the box got damaged after my daughters playing :)
  • Okay, these are things I was sent at work as advertising gimmicks rather than freebies, but some are still worth a mention.

A single piece of lasagne with a message printed on it in ink.

An amaryllis bulb (hooray) with a metal pot (so small that once the bulb had grown into a flower the whole thing kept tipping over), a bag of potting soil and a CD with advertising bumpf on it. But the soil had leaked onto the CD, so there was no way I was going to put it in my machine!

And the weirdest? Definitely a fake hospital drip type bag filled with blue liquid. I don't remember what it was supposed to advertise, but it was deeply disturbingly inappropriate!
