My most useless freebie was an empty cardboard sleeve to put a Meat Loaf CD inside, that you had to buy!

That hand warmer was one of my best freebies - I get sinus problems and laying down with that pressed agains the appropriate part is a miracle worker!

My best freebie was probably the full size tube of aveeno body lotion, either that or the things Simple send me to try (wipes, hand cream etc) as i normally use them so very usefull.

The most useless were samples of dove body wash that contained lanolin (didnt know untill it arrived) and im allergic to it so couldnt use-HOWEVER i wrote to them and explained my situation and they sent me a voucher to buy something else-luckily they have other products i like without lanolin! yay!

Most the time the freebies are usefull, i only send for things i know ill use/want or someone in the family will like.

    The handwarmers are great!

  • I'm an Ocado shopper (just try it, you'll never go back to Tescos again) and they regularly pop freebies & samples in with your shopping which is great fun - got into Food Doctor stuff as a result so it obviously works!

BUT a couple of times now they have put free baby food samples in with my shopping which is a bit of a mystery since my youngest is seven and I have never ordered any baby stuff from them! I've emailed them to say thanks but no thanks but still get them, anyone know of any charities etc that wouldn't mind the occiasional jar of organic strained plums???!!! :rotfl:

Have you tried your local women's refuge? I've heard that they're grateful for donations of toiletries etc. so perhaps the baby food would be useful for them to pass on too.
  • Not a bad freebie at all - but when I received confirmation of my membership of the Tractor Ted club complete with sticker and fridge magnet I did wonder, as a 37 year old woman, if I'd taken the whole freebie thing just a bit too far?!

Made me laugh and think of the time I nearly knocked some poor woman over in Tesco in my rush to get a free chupa chup lolly !
  • The free Coors at Bargain Booze. Which would be great if half of the outlets actually stocked it and the other half accepted the vouchers. As for the product itself, even the slugs didn't go for it.

The aftershave cards are pretty pointless - they never smell of anything by the time I get them, so I suspect postie's sack is a little whiffy by now.
