I too woke up to a glorious 'P' as I logged in yesterday
Congratulations!
Did you bag the set?
CF5 was the only one (of the five) that I finished the paper not knowing whether I'd got 80% or 35%... All of the others, I was fairly confident about!
Now onto the JO exams...For the avoidance of doubt: I work for an IFA.0 -

Inheritance tax calculation and strategies to mitigate it.

hi, just wondering if anyone has any experience of using the brand ft case study workbook package instead of the cii case study workbook and if so what one is better/ more useful in order to pass cf5?
Also I am due to sit my exam in April 10 and have the cf5 course material but looking at it and judging from the comments on here i will need the case study workbook. If anyone, who has passed recently and in the spirit of money saving, would be open to selling their cii 09/10 case study workbook before it expires in August, I would be happy to take it off them.

I passed CF5 on the second attempt. The first attempt I used the Brand ft, found ok, but not as useful as the CII work book. You would be very suprised at how similar the questions are in the exam to the CII work book. I got my copy off Ebay, but someone else is using it now!!! I would recommend getting it though. I crammed for 2 weeks using that and passed!!!!0 -
Just got my results for the CF5 unit this morning and failed by 1 mark L. Anyone ever had any experience of applying for their paper to be re-marked? Or is it pretty much pointless. It would mean paying £70+ for the privilege and then having to wait up to 35 days for the results.0

I passed on first attempt with 75%.

Someone working for the CII told me that remarking is always worthwhile because the examiners have to write an additional report if they fail a paper a second time. I've not tested this theory though.
Can anyone shed any light on this. I've just booked to re-sit in June but could realy do without the hassle. So may just have a go at getting it re-marked.0
