Cheap Pay as you go

Does anyone know the cheapest pay as you go phone available hopefully with a little bit of credit, ie £5, I just want a phone to give to my Mum so she can stick it in the glove box of the car, it will only be used in an emergency so doesnt need to be anything flash. Many thanks

I've been with them for ages, 3p text from Virgin to Virgin, and I get regular freebie sim with £5 top-up, just had 1000 free text too.

You have a variety to choose from. The Samsung B100 is a basic phone but Ok for what you need and the £14.95 price includes £10 credit. Assume you would not want to top up much anyway. This is their online price, not sure if they charge for delivery. Offfers in their shops may vary. Only thing you would need to check is that Orange network reception is OK in your area.

Remember that a chargeable call needs to be made before 180 days elapse on most of the networks, check because some are less before the phone is cut off.
