My sister in law is getting a new car (brand new one) on thursday, as she has not been in her current job long, she has been asked to get a guarantor, and she has asked my mum. Im just worried that if they credit check my mum they wont be able to use her as a guarantor. Save any embarassing moments on Thursday!
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

Thanks- I thought that would be the case! i know that my mum will not be able to be used if this is the case, as her & my dad are in debt up to their eyeballs- different & long story tho! Thanks very much all!Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!0

Yes almost certainly
She may also have to be a homeowner or have income over a certain amount x0 -
She'd be credit checked as if your SIL couldn't pay then SHE would be liable for the money. No good if she has money problems
I know that in some house rentals it's not the same as my parents live in Denmark and when I needed guarantors they were happy for my parents to be put down but they couldn't check them as they live in Denmark... DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0
