    Mortgage-free Glee!
I felt the same way after enduring several troll posts over on the MFW board but rather than leave completely, I decided to create myself a new ID. It was great - no trolls dogging my steps (I discovered that they were PMing each other to orchestrate things), free to express an opinion without fear of upsetting people (I'd often make the same point as someone else, but would always be attacked more, dunno why) and free to enjoy MSE again.

I found though that I really missed my MSE mates and I hated that the trolls thought they had won, so I climbed back into my comfy Dithering Dad persona. I reported the worst offending troll and she was banned from MSE and I decided to develop a 'devil may care' attitude and post what I like (within the rules of MSE) even if it was a bit controversial.

MSE has changed a lot over the past year, people seem keener to take offense at the slightest thing, people seem happier to argue over the most ridiculous things (esp. on the House buying forum ) but what matters is that your MSE friends are still the same and I'm betting that in a few days you'll miss everyone, so don't be too proud to come back and say "Hello....Good Day". :)

Phil, I am sad to see you go and please be assured you most definitely WILL be missed.

I can relate to a lot of what you've said in your OP - BR and this forum can become like an obsession. I remember, all those months ago, when I first discovered this place, I was on here for easily up to 12 hours a day and that's no good for anyone.

It's still the first place I look at in the mornings :o but I am trying to limit myself a bit more now. I DO post less than I used to, but I read every day.

I would like to wish you all the very best for the future and I hope life brings you happiness and contentment :)

    Take care,
    Scarlett xx

    Hi Phil

A big heartfelt thankyou.I totally understand your rationale and I think in someways there will be a lot of people on here who wish they had the guts to take the next step. When you're sat behind the keyboard you're in a comfort zone you can act or say things that In real life you would'nt normally do.
Moving on is a big step but I'm sure it's the right one and I as I know many others wish you well and do hope from time to time you let us know how things are going.
    Best wishes for the future:A

    Hi Phil,

I can understand where you're coming from and how BR does become an all consuming thing. It's easy for it to take over everything and become the central point in ones life.

I really wish the three of you the best of luck and I hope that you will be able to move on and improve how you are feeling about everything. No easy task but spending time with people that count will help for sure.

Thank you for all the giggles, fab advice and for making me feel like I was welcome on the boards. You know that you have made a difference to so many people's experiences on the boards.

Take care sweets, will miss your pictures:D
