Aww Sans, nice to hear from you, hope your having a great holiday, bet you don't want to come back! Am surprised by how expensive everything is though.

I love it here in Florida Andan. Just no way I could afford to stay out here. Theme parks are very expensive and we have only been to 2 so far.

I think the Americans are finding the price rises tough too as it's been mentioned on tv. Not found any Asda whoopsie equivalents in Walmart.

It cost me $6.99 + tax for a packet of 100 poly pockets whereas you can get 100 back in the UK for about £1.29. I just brought a pack as it was a few mm wider.

I think you can get clothing/shoes at good prices if you look. I just can't get over the cost of food. Loving the mid season sale in Victorias Secret though. :D

I've also treated myself to a few things inc. a gorgeous Juicy Couture leather handbag and keyring from the Juicy Couture outlet. I actually found a 10% off coupon 1/2 hour later so took items back to ask to buy them again with the coupon. I did save myself $32.70. ;)

I even persuaded DH to drive to an outdoor mall quite far away so I could go to TJ Maxx (same as TK Maxx). About the same but I did get a nice pair of PJ bottoms $9.99 and a Jessica Simpson handbag $49.99 pre tax so I thought that was pretty good.

Anyway better go and pack away some of my purchases from today.

Off to the cinema tonight. It was $17 for 2 adult tickets so more expensive that what I'm use to paying at Vue cinema. It was $15 at a different cinema but still not cheap!

Will be going back to my money saving ways soon enough. Just going to enjoy my holiday even if I do reluctantly spend too much.

    :j :j Hi Sans,
lovely to hear from you from Florida:D , hope you and family are having a fab time. Sounds like the credit crunch has hit lots of prices over there, but if there are any bargains to be had I'm sure that you will sniff them out as usual:D

    take care.

    Hi Cleosmum,
DD gets like this sometimes, she has asthma too so it really gets her down. When it gets bad and on her chest like that she usually gets a course of steroids from the doctors which sorts her chest out.
She has to take the cetirizine all year round as she is always at stables with her pony.
