Tuesday 17/06/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today i will:
  • Clicks
  • Check online banking
  • Update spreadsheets
  • Storecupboard lunch
  • No spend day didn't manage it yesterday spent 80p on whoopsied veg at asda:rolleyes:
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • Check veggie garden and pick any stuff that's ready
Have a good day everyone.
Hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters:hello: :hello: :hello:

Good luck with the exam Andan

Morning Sophiesmum and all that follow

    Today I:
    * am doing some extra hrs at work, need to write down exactly what I do so that I put it down on my time sheet (do 3 different jobs within the same organisation and each job is paid from a different budget and needs it's own timesheet - complicated and takes a long time unless I record minute by minute where I am ... sorry I have gone off on a boring old tangent...)
    * am getting a lift from a friend into work
    * will get to eat lunch for free at work
    * am getting a free cookery lesson at work today (have I got a good job or what?) and is usually something simple that I can make at home
    * will think about plodding on with NVQ if I get home before 7, which I don't think I will
    * will continue to be smoke free!

    :heartpuls CG :heartpuls
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Morning all :D best of luck for your exam Andan! Go get em!

    Today I have
    • brought in lunch - jacket spud done in the oven whilst OH was making a pasta bake last night (those old stylers are a good influence ;) )
    • checked pigsback - referred OH last night and got 50 points so now have enough for a voucher :j , it's so annoying that it's £11.50 now for a £10 voucher
    • Cycled to work - saved my sanity as the traffic was awful but you just sail past it all on the bike... OH's bike got nicked from his work at the weekend, worth £600  and that one was the replacement for the one that got stolen in the Autumn on insurance... so our contents renewal will be high next year  damn those pesky kids
    And I will
    • try not to spend anything but I might need a coke later
    • have the homemade pasta bake for dinner
    • check both internet banking
    Think that's it!
