Unvented Cylinder Installation Costs

I'm thinking of replacing my Powerstream for an unvented water cylinder.
There are a couple specialist unvented water cylinder companies in Leeds but seemed to be unreliable in turning up after phoning them up for them to come round and give a quote for installation.
I already have the cylinder, expansion vessel etc. Has anyone had any experience of how much (in general) an installation cost, I heard is can be mega £££ but find it hard to believe. Im assuming they will 't' off the rising main in the cellar and pipe out to join the existing hot water pipe-work on the ground floor all of about 8 foot rise.
Many thanks

I had an unvented cylinder installed...cost me the rate of a standard plumber which is around £250 per day in the South East. Took him 3 days in total as we had a few other bits to do aswell, but would expect 2 days depending on how much pipework he would have to do...0

Thanks. I've also done some ringing round and was told over the phone it would cost about 300.00. From what all the and environmentalists say Tankless/on demand is the way forward.
I have one Redring Powerstream for the whole house and have been advised to get another one and separate the load to one under the sink in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. Having the water travel down 20 foot of pipe is why I'm loosing about 5-10 degrees by the time the water gets to the bathroom.
I am content knowing when I turn the hot tap off Im using no electricity until I turn it on again. Im happy with the performance, ok its not gallons a second but Im able to have a shower and if Ive got 10-15 minutes spair I can have a bath.
I guess I was just abit envious of the hotel I was staying in with the 2 minute filling bath (with scalding hot water if desired!) and the blow you away shower :rolleyes:0 -

Can you not just insulate the pipes for a fraction of the cost???:money:0 -
I guess I could do that but being surface mounted pipe work i think it would look a bit odd.
The manual says it is meant to be point of use so I am somehow stretching it0 -
Insulate them then box them in. It will look even better than it does now and go on holiday with the money you save.0
