Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.
We'd like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum. This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are - or become - political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.

Generally I have backed off posting on all the forums I frequent, not because I am bored of waiting for a recession / house price declines (which I see every day with property bee) but because I get no sodding work done during the day :P
I work from home, so distractions are everywhere.0 -
I am fed up of the same old questions being asked.
But noticing a change in the volume of question types being asked.
A year ago it was all about how to buy houses.
This year it's all about how to get out of buying them.
A year ago it was all about how to best raise the money to buy tat.
This year it's all about not being able to sell the house because they MEWed for tat.
I'm only here because nobody invites me out to dinner.0 -

Ive noticed over the last few weeks a large decline in new & interesting threads being started, more like 'small talk'.
There was a tiny blip of green shoots poking through threads being started but they dissapeared just as quickly as they appeared.
Cue tumbleweed rolling past.0 -

Yes.
Partly for the reason you describe above;
Partly because the forum was/is still being frequented by idiots on both sides of the argument jumping on anything they didn't agree with and preventing reasoned discussion;
Partly because, as PN says, the arguments have been done to death; and
Partly because we are in the process of buying somewhere and I don't want to hear about prices dropping any further......0
