Cheers all! Mira it will definitively be then, at least no one has anything bad to say about them which I will take as a good sign. Jimbo, I wasn't aware of that problem... it really annoys my how nothing has any standards that would mean that you don't have that sort of problem, I don't see the point of making things so difficult for people! Even something as simple as changing a sink becomes impossible... There is an older model of the Mira on ebay, might go for that... We'll open the shower up this evening to get a better idea. Thanks for your help, Fiona0

Just for info for anyone reading, it seems the Mira Sport Max has multiple wiring points to make it easier to replace any shower. Sounds good to me!0
