check your bank statements! sentanta have taken £7.50 off me instead of £5.00 and then today i've received a letter highlighting the england games that they are going to show which at the end states that payments are £9.99 from July! I contacted them re the £7.50 and finally got an answer back 2 days ago and they said the agreement with me was £7.50! Such liars.0

I wish i had seen this last week. My OH cancelled our Setanta because its costing us too much every month with Sky also to pay for. Obviously the OH wanted to keep it, but i said no, if i'd seen this i would've let him keep it. Ah well..
Thanks for the post!!!0 -
I wrote and cancelled the package and got 3 letters telling me to fill in a direct debit.
The service was discontinued in the 30 day notice period. I then got a demand letter stating I owned £6.23 for the days up to the cut off period.
I sent them another letter telling them I gave them 30 days to cancel and asked for the final payment amount but as they had disconnected me without my agreement they were not going to get the £6.23.
I also told them i would not come back even if they were free.
I was also told a letter was enough to cancel i HAD to discuss it with them first.

Hi,
Thanks to the OP - I just called them nad got £7.50 for 6 months too. :T
I said that the 30% increase in price was shocking & also that I constantly have problems with my picture quality - which I do as it disappears even for a few seconds during every live game I watch.
They have resent the signal to combat this so time will tell if thats the real problem.
Anyway thanks again - some more cash saved!!0 -

Just got off the phone to them, i know this sounds really thick, but i also got 6 months at £7.50 per month. I take it that's the deal that everyone is getting as i thought it was for the whole 6 months ie just over a pound a month.0
