Current CPW/E2 T610 on BT offer- Is phone locked ?
When CPW/E2 were doing the original £4.99 pm offer for the T610 on BT mobile, the phones supplied were unlocked.
Can anyone confirm whether those on the current deal (£4.99 for 6 months and £9.99 thereafter) are also unlocked.
How easy are these phones to unlock ?

You need software to unlock it and a cable.
If you only have one to unlock, then it will be cheaper to take it to a specialist at your local computer fair - they charge £5 to £10.0 -
thanks smartasss

by locked and unlocked, is this what the PAC code is all about.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

No.
A PAC code is a how you transfer your phone number from one provider to a new one (e.g. changing your contract from voda to t-mobile, but using a PAC to take your number with you)
New handsets are usually "locked" to the network that provides the service, so that if you try to use a SIM from another provider in the handset, it won't work.
So if you have a voda contract/payg phone you may find it's locked and will only work with voda SIMs - till you get it "unlocked" (perfectly legal).0 -
