Rossendales help!!! (Bailiff advice!)

Hi missnaughty - I can only echo what has already been said.
DO NOT ALLOW THE BAILIFF TO GAIN PEACEFULL ENTRY INTO YOUR HOUSE
Please pm Herbie 21 for the best advice, or vsit her website: http://www.bailiffadviceonline.co.uk
Another useful site is: http://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk/debt_basics/bailiff-guide.php
If your car is essential for your work, then a bailiff should NOT take it. However, with the 'pedigree' that Rossendales enjoy, they are no respectors of your rights.
Good luck.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Thank you i will, I am just so cross as i had no warning about this what so ever i knew that i owed and before i moved i wrote to the council. and i left a forwarding address but had no more corrospondence from them.
Then the next minute this i hold my hands up and admitted and tried to arrange payment you would think that they would want payment rather than this.
I will be asking for a certificate from him and the libility order and i will not make his job easy i am so pleased there are sites like this to help others.
so thank you to all for your advice.
I will let you know how i get on.0 -
The bloke from rossendales was a total plank he shouted at me on the phone and said he will sit outside and wait (more fool him)
And he then said well i will atke your car its a lovely car, i have just read that they cant take anything that is more valuable than the debt. The debt including their charges is £500 my car is a saab convertiable.
Do we as homeowners if he refuses to move have the right to remove him.Hubby said if he sits outside for two long he will just call the police and say there is a weird looking man hanging around.
I have conducted a finance sheet and have written all our bills down and our monthly outgoing are £2480 and thats before food and going out.
We are self employed and not gauranteed work we live week to week and hope and pray we get work the following week.0 -
If he is not on your property there is not much you can do - They police wont get involved. He is simply being a bully.
Dont phone him again, I wouldnt advise speaking to him when he comes around either. Just let him sit there. As Rog2 says he is not within his rights to take the car.
I would consider making a complaint against him to the council and ask them if they will take back the debt, that way you would deal with them again.Total 2019: £3972 - Best win this year £3000
2018 total £4062/2017 total £2260/ 2016 total £2025/ 2015 total £3809.0 -

A very good idea to call the Police. He would have to explain himself and prove his 'certification', plus you still have no obligation to allow him into your house.
If the Police do come, or, indeed, if a Policeman accompanies a Bailiff, they are not there to assist a bailiff to gain entry. The role of the Police is to ensure that the Law is upheld, and that includes making sure that the 'Bailiff' does not act outside of the Law.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. As an aside to this imminent visit, have you tried sending a payment proposal to the bailiff? It's advised that you state that any payment will be with them by the end of each month. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500

How about a tripwire across your garden path, You've Been Framed would pay handsomely for a clip of that!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
