My son is locked into a Vodafone contract until May 2006. Unfortunately he is having a lot of problems with them. He bought one of those 'con' Ringtones - just once, and has since been plagued with texts which he has been charged over £20 per month for. Vodafone say that it is nothing to do with them and to contact the company concerned (although Vodafone is charging my son). He phoned over a month ago to cancel on the number given to him, but is still being charged. Vodafone said the best way to get rid of theem is to change his number (as it can be passed on to other ringtone companies??!!) at a charge of £25!!!
Not only that, Vodafone stopped sending an itemised bill when these text charges were put on and so we cannot see what they are charging for. This service is supposed to be automatic and free of charge (I checked with them). Are they breaking their contract? Can I get out of Vodafone early if they are?
