Hi
I have just registered for free extera texts per month. Must remember to cancel thought before three months is up or will be charged on the third month!! eek...MFWB
Mortgage when started: £232,000
Current mortgage Sept 2024: £232,000
Mortgage free day: Sept 2029
Saving: £12k 20250 -
I too have been exploring the O2 current customer rewards. I’ve been a customer of O2 PAY & GO Original for years and years but only recently did I get a txt from them saying about the free treats for 3 months. I gave them a ring and low and behold, got 25 free txts a month for 3 months - cool I thought, but what else could I get????
I then joined the 10% back reward scheme (which has been running since April) so I get back 10% of what I top up at the end of every quarter - cool... now what?
I then joined the International Caller Bolt-On which gives you discounts on international calls and txts to mobiles and land-lines overseas - it's free to join till 10-Jan-06. Handy for all the txts I send abroad. Anything else?...
As many of you know already if you register online with O2 then you get access to 10 free txts a month. But if you also register here then you get rewarded with £2.50 extra credit (takes a few days to come through). It worked for me even though I’ve already registered my phone on their homepage (for the free txts). NOTE: Read on before doing this otherwise it costs you to change your b'day.
Finally I found out that between 11-Oct and 31-March-06 O2 will give you 50 free txts on your birthday, providing your b'day falls between these days - but you're free to enter any b'day you like when you register. If you don't do it when you register then you have to ring their customer service line to change your b'day, which they'll charge you for. Here is an extract from their T&C's:
Between 11th October 2005 and 31st March 2006, Pay & Go customers who have registered their date of birth details with O2 will be given 50 free UK messaging units on their registered birth date.
Registered birth dates can be changed but only a single birthday gift of 50 free UK messaging units per mobile phone number can be given during the Promotional Period.
See here for full T&C's of their b'day offer.
So all-in-all not a bad session for O2 freebies. Have I missed anything?Live your own dream... No one else will do it for you!0 -

thanks for that number kazzea have been having problems with my wap mins this month not recieving them even though i am recieving my texts, although last month it was the other way round
another thing as i wasnt aware of this until the other day when i went into o2 to buy a new phone, if you are simply upgrading your handset depending on how much you have spent on credit over previous months you will get either a discount or free credit when you purchase a new phone!
i got the new samsung e330n for £70 rather than £100 was very pleased
and then got a text through from o2 a few days later thanking me for upgrading my handset and giving me an additional 10% everytime i top up instantly as well as the 3 monthly reward
although there customer service is poor i wouldnt change networks for anything! i regularly get salesman (normally from 3 grrr) knocking on my door trying to sell me a contract and when i tell them what i get from o2 each month for the amount i put on they walk away and say we cant compete!!! hurray for o2 now all u need to do is sort your customer service out n il be one very happy bunny!!The Only Thing Men Can Do Right Is Get Everything Wrong
Anyone Care To Prove Me Right?0
