Not on meter and just leave the water running, not much incentive to do different. West Yorks aint exactly short of water!0

Are you?
I think it's a great idea !0 -
I've just fitted new taps in my bathroom. They have a 'click' ceramic cartridge which allows the user to choose a light flow, or with greater lever pressure, full flow. The taps are Ideal Standard Ceramix Alto, see link below.

Seems weird to me, too...You're supposed to brush your teeth for a minimum of 2 minutes, so that's a lot of hot water you're wasting standing there (assuming it takes, say, 15 seconds to rinse yourself off)
You'd also have to rinse your mouth (if you do it) with hot/warm water - which wouldn't settle very well with me.
Can't really see any notable advantages to doing it, tbh...0 -

In my case it takes about 30 seconds before the water gets hot so I usually turn it on half-way through. It wastes cold water until it finally gets hot.
Hot water helps with the brush as you don't get the gunk left on the brush after cleaning, and it also helps with sensitive teeth! If you find my post helpful please press the THANKS button.0 -
My dentist advised me that using water when brushing your teeth (i.e. wetting the brush before) took away some of the effects of using toothpaste. So i only use it to rinse my brush. Did take some getting use to at first but it's fine now!0
