    frugallass,
I also turn on the hosepipe in the back garden and let that run all night too. I think maybe the frogs and hedgehogs might enjoy a little running water to help them sleep too?

Always turn the tap off while brushing - Blue Peter told me to when I was a kid

For me it was 'Barney' (big purple dinosaur) - when my eldest was a baby (he's 15 now), they had a song about this-

'when I'm brushing my teeth and having so much fun,
I never let the water run, no, I never let the water run'

I watched that bl**dy programme so often, even now I can never get that out of my head when I am brushing my teeth!!!

    So for me it was

No water meter, but always turn off the tap.
  • I'm amazed that (at the time of me writing this) there are 31 people who admit to not cleaning their teeth!!

My wifes from Spain and over there they are obssessed with this "don't leave the tap running whilst brushing your teeth" thing. They have had it drilled into them from a young age due to their constant water shortage. I'm always getting told off.

makes me laugh cause when I come in on a flight the number of lush golf courses and swimming pools I see is amazing.
  • You must have an amazing bladder control! :T
  • I keep the tap off until I need it (for rinsing my mouth etc), and hubcap cleans his teeth in the shower!!! So does his 9 year old daughter.

But am I being a bit thick, but does the water cycle not mean that water is recycled anyway, even once it has gone down the drain, so is it still classed as wastage? (I don't waste water, but often wonder this)

    E. On water meter: Always turn tap off while brushing
Even when I wasn't on a meter I used to turn the tap off.

now ask who uses hot water and who uses cold. I never realised anyone could possibly use hot until a recent discussion. I'm still amazed
I use the hot tap as I find it softens the brush a bit and my teeth are a bit sensitive and the cold water "sets them off".

Can I just ask who are the 38 people (at time of writing this) that don't brush their teeth?! Dirty bu**ers. ;)

I do mine when I am in the shower. Lather up, then whilst rinsing, do my teeth. OH used to laugh at me, but now he's converted.
