contract end in sight
My contract ends at the end of August with Virgin, I got a text the other day saying 'a fancy new phone had my name on it'!! Does this means I can go ahead and get a new phone or do I have to wait? Just wondered if anyone knew how close to the end of your contract you can upgrade?? 0

Generally (in my experience) you can upgrade 1-2 months before your contract ends. My contract is with 3 and runs out in December, so they said I can upgrade in November. Check with your network as it probably varies...0

i got the same text, and my contract ends mid-August - but I have looked online and they do a £15 per month deal if you keep your existing phone, may go for that, or may have some fun haggling with them when contract ends as 3 have some cracking offers like a nice shiny new phone with 1100 txts/mins for £20 per month - basically they are trying to tie you in for another 12 or 18 month contract!0
