    I don't think there are any "rules" broken.

    Not sure I understand what you could get and what you can now get - reception wise - to be honest.

    You had an ancient Sky box by the sound of it.
    Did you use that to get your pictures or did you use the aerial?

    And glad you are sorted now.

    Yes, it was an ancient sky box and I used to have the Family package and then cancelled it but still got some free channels - Sky News, Sky 3 and other bits.
    Was still getting this when the tv broke on Saturday morning.
    Bought new set home and plugged it in but couldn't get these channels just BBC1/2/3 CBBC and a news channel.
    New aerial fitted and now have lots of channels.
    New set has freeview built into it.
