2x Phone delivery. Which is which?
Strange thread, i suppose but i really need to know if anyone can help with answers to this.
Tomorrow (well later today now looking at the time) i have 2 x new mobiles, being delivered from three which are upgrades to 2 existing contracts. I have spoken to them on the phone though and have been offered the N95 for free now so have got to refuse delivery of the 6500 which is on its way and then they will send the N95 out.
My question is, one of them is a silver 6500 and the other is a black 6500. The black one is to be kept by my partner but the silver which was for me needs to be refused. Will there be anyway of me knowing from the packaging which is which?
Im assuming if not and i take pot luck and open the silver one while he waits he will not take it back? If i open the black one then great, he can the other back. Its been so long since ive had a contract mobile delivered and cant remember if theres any identifying info on the outer packaging or not?

The boxes will be marked as to which colour, has to be for someone to "pick" the order but they may be wrapped in something for sending so you'll have to open at least one of the packages as you say.
If you do have to open the outer wrapping and its the one that needs to be returned then when you sign the receipt say that you opened the outer wrapping to check the colour.0 -
On the 6500 Classic, on the side of the box with the IMEI sticker, it will have "Black/Bronze/silver" etc on, in small text, at least thats the diff between bronze and black.~*Cerenia*~

Well the lady delivered the phones this morning. I stood and explained the problem i had and she explained that if i were to part open the polythene to look inside at the box i would not be able to give her it back and return it.
So being methodical i figured if i chose the one with the lower parcel number (although no where near similar but still obviously one higher than the other) that would be my unwanted silver one, so i should chose the other. She then explained though that was the delivery companys number not 3's so could be irrelevant.
So it was down to pot luck. My partner stood with one in his hand and said to open that, although that was the one with the higher number that i wouldnt have chosen myself. I figured though if i let him pick which one then i could blame him if it wasnt the right one. BINGO!! He had his black one so then she was able to take back the unopened silver one.
So now ive just got to wait for my N95, once ive contacted them to send it out. I have tried to ring this morning but they are updating their systems and are unable to access any customer details.0 -
