Twit Twooo!! Quickie tonight as I have been on phone to Numpty for a wee while!!
Good news: being visited tomorrow by the cooker man, the kitchen man, the alarm man, the garden man...and whoever else I can "lure" in :rolleyes:So have to get up early and looking my best
I have been playing with my toys tonight (the kitchen ones...not the bedroom ones!!)..have done first dishwash and first laundry wash :T :T
Also, I now have a guest bedroom, bathroom, downstairs cloakroom, kitchen and utility. (My bedroom still looks like bomb explded  ). By saturday should have half a lounge and my bed (plus second guest bed is poss) available :j
Saw GP today and got referred to hand surgeons at East Grinstead..hopefully should get quick response as GP said he would fax it owing to urgency of continuity of treatment  .
Massive work day tomorrow after all the crumpet has left....so be back on tomorrow night
Hugs to all.....hopefully things should calm down next week...inc internet connection which is rather unstable at present (takes up to 10 days they say.......:D )
Much love

Oh oh Piglet..what lovely piggies.....is one of them Speedy?
The one on the left looks like my big fat mamma Muffin (similar markings but she is white and honey coloured...such a pretty girl)
Well unfortunately no cracks on show today and no talent either.
Oven man stayed all of 20 mins before deciding to order a new oven door (to be fitted next tuesday). However I did happen to notice he also services LEC fridges so asked him if he could also reverse the door on my new fridge. Currently it can't open very far so I can;t actually move the shelves (they're all bunched/taped together in the middle of the fridge) or open the salad drawer.........also it tilts forwards...Anyhow the oven man says he will do it next tuesday. That should complete my kitchen (apart from replacing the new sink which the builders have scratched and used a nasty abrasive on.... Bless my builders, they are so practical....installing a fridge so the door wont open properly, scratching the new sink, chipping the bath in my lovely bathroom,   billing me stuff they haven't done.... ). I've just written a long list to the surveyor ....and actually I think the boys have been a tad naughty and I've caught them out on something a bit serious.....we'll see what the survyeor says.
Garden man came round and wants to charge me three arms and two legs to do what should be a relatively simple laying of concrete raft and patio. Looks like I'll have to get general jobbing builders to do the work with the outside rather than a landscape gardener.....way too pricey. (Actually think he was a bit out of his depth).
No word from hospital about hand appointment, will chase them friday as out most of tomorrow with clients and then off the gym back in my old place (membership doesn't run out til 31st so use it before I lose it! and seeing counsellor down there tomorrow evening)
More working from home on friday but should be able to bill two jobs by end of week which should cover the mortgage this month. Then looking forwards to more unpacking and organising this weekend. Have helping hands coming for putting up shelves in study, clearing garden (if fine....have ordered skip) and varius other muscle-requiring activities (no not THAT type....behave!!)
Right stop rabbitting Wol...and reply to some of the peeps who've posted recently.
So weeek weeek Piglet......piggies say hello to cousin Speedy and hope she is OK and that Grommie wasn't too rude or forward the other night. They are happily munching on dandelions (free cos Wol picked a shedload of them yesterday from the grass verges in the village and stuffed them into her recycled Sainsbury's bag....you should have seen the horrified looks I got from passing traffic.....well every village has it's eccentrics and I shall soon be referred to as the village bag lady :rotfl::cool: )
Should be back on properly after the bank holiday to keep you company on Night Owls. Hpe yo're OK and are doing something nice for bank holiday.
Lots of love to you my dear

Outrageous!! - :rotfl: (how many boxes had you accumulated in the end?)
You and holiday 1 used up all my packing ability for the year so for Italy it will be knickers, toothbrush and credit card (only joking - currency;) ) oh and best not forget my passport£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Hi Wol
Well done on the move.  at the removal man. I have to say the ones that packed us up to come to NZ couldn't have been better, they were really careful bless. And worked like troopers. I understand TOTALLY about the boxes. We still have a lot to go through and not much time as the claim on the insurance has to be in soon. Sigh.
Glad the piggies have settled in OK. I am sure the hand will sort itself out. Maybe you needed to push it a bit?
Hope that you are feeling refreshed tomorrow
chev
Hi chev
Blookin' eck...just realised I have 7 working days to make a claim if anything is broken...no way can I have everything unpacked and inspected by friday. Even your two weeks is cutting it rather fine........hope you;re managing to wade through it. Have you discovered any surprises yet?
I have decided to take my time, will only write to claim for the redoing of the dado rail on the removals insurance......and will start my grnad plan by re-organising the loft and decluttering to create space and thence working my way down through the house. So I have ebay boxes, car boot boxes and charity boxes....which everything wil get sorted and put into up in the loft. Then the rest of the stuff in the loft will be skipped (Like the dead mice up there pheewaaagh) or kept (like Xmas decorations which haven't been eaten by aforesaid ex-mice)..and then I will work my way through the packing and sort accordingly.
Must check up on your thread and see how things are for you over in kiwi land...it the weather improving..(do you want me to send over my flood doors?) .and how is the job hunting going?
Hope you;re settling in OK.
Hugs

Wot!! No bikini?????
When my sister took my mum to Rome many years back, they both carried large bottles of mineral water in order to hit anyone who happened to "rub themselves up against them" while in buses/trams etc. (She told me a digsuting story once about a woman in a black skirt getting off a bus after an alleged incident..which became clearly visible against the skirt as she turned round :rotfl: ........So as they say in Hithchikers Guide....be a cool frood who knows where your [STRIKE]towel[/STRIKE] water bottle is
