Hi All

Quick update as I am waiting for [STRIKE]packing slave[/STRIKE] friend to arrive (2am ETA!!).

OMG     ....there's so much to pack...and the house looks like a bomb has hit it.

Grommie is taking his meds...and eating...but not putting on any more weight and still a bit scraggy. Still a bit worried..but at least he's better than he was.

I have been working a lot of this week (visiting clients all day today...but earning wonga).

Moving on friday and now they have agreed to move me in one day instead of over two days (which also involved me making 6 trips round the M25 ) So much for their cunning plan to rip off the insurance company with extra charges!!

Know it sounds silly, but I'm feeling really anxious..and unwilling about moving back...I've just got my roots put down where I am, the house I@m living in has been my shelter/duvet/cave against all the carp of the last year.....I feel safe here......I have my new routines, my new friends, my gym, where to shop......and now they're being ripped up ....again...and moved 90 minutes drive away to a house that doesn;t feel like mine anymore. I don;t want to go back...I like what I've built up for myself here.

Hand is apparently progressing........according to physio who returned from holiday yesterday after two weeks. She says it is much better and adhesions are not so bad. (Actually I now only have one finger stuck so that IS good). BUT..the RSD is causing the stiffness/lack of flexibility I experience each morning I wake up. I then spend the whole day working the hand to get it flexible...only to go to bed and wake up back to square one again..and there is nothing more I can do.......but "persevere" (her words ) ...but it's going to take a lot longer than originally thought.

Yoo Hoo BOB!! How were the Cornish turnips? Glad to hear you had a good holiday and now have beans......might raid your graden when I'm up at the Leeds meet in Sept :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Beanie HWGA, BUffy and NUmpty.....yep piggies are expensive because it's a full blown anaesthetic to file teeth...and yep Numpty...you should have cadged a lift....but only if you were agreeable to keeping your bottom clothed :p (my guineas have led very sheltered lives ;) )

Any how folks, need to go do more packing..will try get on otmorrow night But only if we have finished the job). Otherwise, wil not be on line til sunday at earliest.

This who know, have my mobile number if they need to ring me.

Have a great weekend folks...and keep your fingers crossed it don;t *iss down with rain on friday otherwise all my new carpets will get trashed by the continuous tramping of steel toecaps!!
    Hugs to all

Acually, I remember now that you've suggested it BOB.......the removal boys were very good on the way out and did bring that plastic stuff.....hope I don;t have to instigate the flood defence doors halfway through the day and bar them entry because the stream starts to rise :rotfl: :rotfl:

Worst logistical nightmare will be the moving of 15 piggies...in pet carriers in two cars..There were only 10 on the way out....and because of the bonded pairs etc, they only needed 4 carriers bewteen them. Now they need 9

Right off to tackle the "shoe mountain" :D

    Hugs:D

    hi Wol

wow it is all going on in your household isn't it! I hope the guinea pig is getting better, and your hand too.

Ref the not wanting to move back, do you HAVE to? Ie could sell the house you have just got renovated?

Also maybe you don't want to go back because the flooding was the start of a very painful episode in your life, with people deserting you and all that. And if you go back maybe your sub conscious is messing with you thinking that things will all go pear shaped again.

After you have had the epiphany you had in your therapy the other day, maybe this has made you realised how destructive some of your pre flood life was.

Sorry not putting it very well but I hope you get the gist. Anyway it won't be how it was before because YOU have changed so YOU won't let it happen again, (ie with the wrong sort of personality type etc)

best of luck with the move. I am still unpacking after 6 weeks  . And we have a deadline of about 2 weeks to claim on the insurance so we have to have unpacked by then

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
