Ah, so this is where your nice new thread is, my first post is after more than 500 others, that is shoddy - sorry

(I have had iffy internet after coming back from hols although seems OK today now that I have stuff I need to get on with)

How are you doing? sounds like things with the hand are going very well and like the house is going pretty smoothly- yippeeeeeee. Still moving on 15th?

Hi everyone

How are you all tonight.....?

Expect you're wanting to hear the news? Well, it's a bit deep for this early evening.....but I'm not going to apologise....as I'm feeling REALLY GOOD .. :j :j :dance: :dance: :dance:

(and sorry Numpty, I really did try hard to precis it....but I'm just so not as good as you )


Well, I had a light bulb moment on thursday during the counselling session...(no, no folks........not about debt.:p ) ..but about me, my life and who I am (or rather wasn't)! The result is one of intense relief, happiness and jubilation :j:T ....

Yahoooooooo!!!! I feel like the door to a prison has finally been opened after all these years and that I can now start my life as I really want to live it and be the person I want to be..:dance:..and also, contrary to my life experience to date...I am actually not that bad a person

You see it appears that I have had the previous misfortune to be associated with (and drawn to) people who have a particular style of "self-absorbed" personality.....(I am being polite )....It explains why my choice of partner always ended in disaster, why I have never been able to have comfortable relationships (for me) with my family and some of my friends....and why I always ended up being bulllied at work. No matter how hard I tried, none of them were ever happy with what I did or who I was and I was always accused of being selfish, wrong, mad, bad, oversensitive or not putting the other people first.. . So I've always thought that perhaps there was something wrong with me.......that it was my fault.....(especially after the flood when i was abandoned, rejected or attacked by almost all the people closest to me when I really needed some emotional support).......but now I know that it wasn't/isn't!! :j

And now that I understand and know how to recognise this style of personality, I can choose to handle them a different way than before so I can retain my new found self esteem and self worth and my own identity....and no longer take their comments personally :cool:. I now have real choices. I don;t have to continue to live as a reflection of some other person's ego.

WOW!!!...(cue Roger Daltry)..... I AM FREE! :j I can't quite believe it......For the first time ever, I am free to be me, with my own identity, my own feeings and needs....I can be a human being, an individual, just like the next person.

It might have been a carp year.....but it's been worth every single carp minute to achieve this as the end result.

And I want you guys and gals to know how instrumental you have all been in my journey towards this moment and why I wanted to share it with you.

In all of you, I have seen shining examples of lovely people who have treated me as an individual, demonstrating care and empathy towards me as a human being and who don;t expect anything from me in return..:A .......proof positive that not everyone is like the people who have dominated my life to date. You have given me hope, proof, support ...without which the light bulb would have remained well and truly off.

So onwards and upwards my friends...things really are getting better and better...and with all of us supporting each other we will all achieve our goals.

and the people who have hurt you and treated you badly are the ones who have the problems not you my lovely lady;)
So wols new saying definately has to be "onwards and upwards" from now on;)
