your post really has cheered me up, proof that you can say the right thingsand please dont feel silly about your probs.
At any time in our life, something comes along that upsets the balance, things start to see-saw and we feel very uncomfortable, upset and stressed....especially if its something we can do little about because it due to the actions of others over whom we have no control. Different things happen at different times to all of us and what's happening for you atm is no less or little than my own issues. (Believe me, having previously gone through what you are currently facing I do understand how unpleasant worrying and upsetting it is and I am so pleased that hopefully things are now starting to move forward more positively for you both)
So I hope you and OH can make it over this way in three weeks and we can toast your future happiness and the end of my annus horibilis...cos by my reckoning three weeks is about the 19th July:beer:
Big hugs....and I look forward to some more piccies soon!!
Much Love

Hi all
Well things got a bit dire yesterday evening...was shocked by hand swelling so much and true extent of immobility and really started getting frightened and upset about the thought of more surgery ..and how that would mean my annus horibilis was actually not going to end until next year:eek:
But special thanks to the man in the bath, the people who have PM'd me offering to come and help :A and then the Night Owls...:A ..all of you helped put some light back into the dark....you're all fantastic and I really value your company and support. :T :T
So today is a much brighter day ....especially after a late cooked breakfast/brunch....and a one-handed fight with one of the sausages which clearly didn't want to be eaten:rotfl:. Gave the hand a good talking to and then surprisingly fell asleep on the sofa for 3 hours this afternoon...:o ...so all-in-all I'm feeling much better, and from now on will be slowing myself right down, not trying to set myself so many tasks to do each day and scheduling regular rest breaks to elevate the arm.
a) Hand still swollen but exercises getting minutely easier with each time and it DOES look as though its just adhesions (fingers, toes and paws crossed and will spare you the gory details of why I think its adhesions)
b) guinea pig helpers rang and confirmed they are coming round tomorrow (and also subsequent weeks) :j to clean/bleach all cages to get rid of any mites and friend has today delivered piles of newspapers required for new cage litter
c) driver and site meeting at house confirmed for tuesday - need to make list of all items to be discussed and hopefully will get date for completion of interior (exterior work still to do but wont stop me moving back)
d) I have worked out that I now have almost enough offers of help that, if timed correctly, means I can still move around first/second week of August but will have help to both pack and then, just as importantly, unpack at the other end. That will then leave two weeks to get this rented house cleaned and restored to its original condition so I wont lose my deposit at end of August.:j :j
So thanks once again everyone for your continuing support. I'm off to make a brew and watch Dr Who.....see you all later once I've fed the pigs!
Hugs to all
