I really want to chop my head off as i have the most awful hayfever. Spent the day doing the garden yesterday. I should have known better when the weather was good and the pollen count was high. Will i ever learn. Probably not. Am going to go to bed now for a few hrs. Worked last night. And hopefully the Antihistamines will have worked there magic. Have a good hun, Dont overdo it. x x x Boo

And apologies that I haven't popped in and posted - but ever since you asked the can/can't question - I can't get the picture of a Rubik's cube out of my thoughts - and it's Soooooooo NOT the thing to say, lol. Forgive, ok. :A

Hi Bunny
Glad you are enjoying the house and the kids are being good.
The sadness does get less with time..as does the loneliness. Its worst when you do things you would in the past have done together, or you when you need the practical help to do something you cant do on your own (lifting/moving/fixing).
It really hit me hard when the shock of the accident wore off...I had to catch 4 guinea pigs, put them back in their cages, get out of a bikini :rotfl: and secure the house...before I rang the ambulance...with blood pouring from my hand all the while. I couldnt ring him even though he's only 10mins away...and there is no-one else I could have called down here for immediate assistance as I am miles away from my flooded home and dont know many people here apart from him. But I coped...I did it...I managed....on myown:cool: :T
So take heart, have courage.....there is a bright future for you...you just need a bit of time to re-establish your self esteem and self confidence...and decide what you want that future to be. Then when you're ready, you can start to take your first steps towards it like I am starting to do. Just remember you are a very special lady Bunny...and we're all here to walk that road beside you. You deserve to be happy, you are worth it and you WILL get there. Go for it gal!!
Big hugs
Wol2

Hey Wol, know just how you feel!
I put my hand through a glass door that my 3 yr old son tried to slam....severed the main artery in my wrist and tendons to my thumb and first finger.
After the surgery I was in the splint for weeks with my hand bent inwards as the damage was very extensive so they consultant had to mend my tendons too tight!
Now I'm an impatient person at the best of times so it drove me crazy having this bloody thing on for 12 weeks solid before I could remove it and go for physio and ultrasound to try and break down some of the scar tissue!
I think I watched every DVD that I owned.
6 years on I have most of the movement range in my wrist and hand but it still causes me pain and 'nips' when I pick things up.

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Hi Linda
Thanks for posting. Ouch  Sounds like you had a ghastly time of it. Hopefully catch up and compare war wounds in Leeds. Glad to hear you've recovered most of functionality.
Think I'm lucky in that its the top extensor tendons rather than the flexor tendons..and its the fourth and fifth digits rather than thumb and forefinger. So hopefully will not have so long to wait before I can use the hand again.
As for DVD'S...looks like a hefty dose of Pirates for me.....:rotfl:
Love
