Hey Wol,
You getting used to typing one handed?Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Morning all
Thanks for popping in last night Piglet and Bubbles
Was up to my plaster cast in revisions to report yesterday...so spotted you all having a good time but needed to remain focused on getting the job done. Hopefully I will get the feedback required to make final revisions today and can then raise an invoice:D ....will be my first income for two months:j :j ...(I've been self employed since April but was concentrating on movingback into my flooded house....but then the builders got delayed so that wont be til August....and now this blessed arm injury....)
Well I've had my triple nuclear cluster of disasters for this year (house, OH split....and now the arm) and so my annus horibilis officially ends on 19th July.:T :T ....so watch out for the party thread:beer:
Im off to the hospital tomorrow morning to have the cast off and the stitches out. Then they will fit me with a replacement thermoplastic splint for 2-4 weeks...dont think realistically this will be any better in terms of functionality than the cast as I think they will still ensure I cant move any fingers to prevent damage to the two healing tendons. The hand has been very sore the last few days (hence not posted much) and the movement I did have in the fingers the first few days after the op is not as good now, two weeks later. But hopefully this is all part of the healing process.
Hopefully too, a local vet nurse will be coming in today or tomorrow to clean out the piggies as they're now getting a bit stinky. I also need her to check them all as I cant lift them out of the cages or hold them...and Pebble has lost a load of fur on her back (last time it was hormonal because she was preggers....   ...no, she cant be....she hasnt been near a boy and I certainly removed her little sons well before they learnt any naughty habits;) ).
I had a great weekend with my friend...she's such an :A . And she didnt just chop the guinea's food....she chopped my dinners as well...which meant I actually got to eat it hot:rotfl: Took me back to my flooded house to check builders progress....helped with the beds/washing etc. Thanks Hun.If you are reading this....you are a very special lady..there's a bed here for you anytime.....although you might have to make it yourself first :rotfl: :rotfl:
OK all...better stop now and organise getting into the shower. Have now got the knack of putting underwear on one-handed...although it takes about 20 mins:cool:
Back later
Hugs to all and thanks for all my piccies....especially you Numpty:kisses3: :kisses3:

MOrning, good luck tomorrow with the arm. It will get better with time. remember that. Its good to hear you will get help with piggies from the vet nurse. I really want to chop my head off as i have the most awful hayfever. Spent the day doing the garden yesterday. I should have known better when the weather was good and the pollen count was high. Will i ever learn. Probably not. Am going to go to bed now for a few hrs. Worked last night. And hopefully the Antihistamines will have worked there magic. Have a good hun, Dont overdo it. x x x BooNight Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:
