Only heard of them today, on another site, some kind of blank media company behind it. Hardly anything of interest on there at the moment.0 -

just had a quick look, if they keep to what they say it could be a good site but i expect they will start charging like Ebay when they become more established, i registered anyway no harm in trying them i suppose0

I've just registered with them. New auction sites like this need all the help they can.

Well, I guess it depends how you look at things.
There are literally hundreds of "alternate to EBay" auction websites, new ones pop up every day, and many are the ready made, "boil in the bag" websites that are actually sold on EBay..... After all, the more fragmented the Non EBay auction site business becomes, the better it is for EBay and if they can assist in fragmenting that market and make money into the bargain..... Then that really is good business.
Now..... If there was one decent alternative.....
Well..... We all know what would happen, EBay would simply buy it up

But it was interesting to know about eBid.tv which was mentioned on these forums a couple of days ago. It seemed that there is a good deal of activity going there. :cool:Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

You can send payments outside eBay using PayPal and I know that one other auction site uses something similar to PayPal.0

EBay let Paypal be used for other auction sites for the same reason they allow other auction sites to be traded on EBay ..... They earn money.
