Thread deleted. Why?

Could someone tell me why a thread of mine was deleted? I don't understand.

It was about my experience with CCL Online.

They refunded me when I reminded them a month after their promise to credit my bank account. The people at Trading Standards were very helpful in pointing out that CCL were in breach of contract.

I still don't know why the thread disappeared though. I thought this forum was specifically for posting bad experiences with companies. That's exactly what I did. Also, if posts aren't monitered (see top of the page), who deleted it? Anyone? I don't want to fall foul of posting rules, but unless someone explains what I did wrong, I'm in the dark.

Anyone post anything that was slanderous? Don't deleted threads still stay in the google cache?

I thought the OP had had the thread pulled as they didn't like the answer I posted, in which I stated that I had had nothing but sterling service from CCL and that the problem they had probably resulted from using Google payment services instead of using the card payment facilities that CCL have on the website.

There was nothing in either the OPs post or mine which would warrant deletion .

Thanks for the link to the thread shammy, but I'm still baffled as to why it's not here now. There's nothing in the thread that would warrant deletion, surely.

The thing is, no matter whether Google were at fault or not, CCL accepted extra payment (via proxy or directly makes no difference) over and above their standard charge for a specific delivery date. They failed to deliver on time (breaching the contract) and refused to discuss it with me when I rang to ask where the goods were. That's just lousy service no matter which way you look at it.

How can their next day delivery service ever work for people using Google if orders aren't passed to CCL until after the 5pm cutoff time? They took extra money from me for a service they couldn't provide and had no intention of refunding my money until I kicked up a fuss. If their staff hadn't been so arsey with me, I wouldn't have made such a big deal for the sake of a couple of quid.

It is one of the things I dislike about this site, the mods (or whatever they are called) will delete things without letting you a)know that they have done it and b)the reason why they have done it.

A shame really as otherwise the site is quite well run!!!!

Seems unfair,particularly as they admitted some liability..Why did they do that then?
