Hi everyone, sorry to be bumping this but I got no reply... Can someone help me, please? I have 45£ in points and am wondering if I should treat myself to a expensive fragrance or continue saving for a camcorder. Last year I got an 8gb ipod with my points and that is a memorable item, so I was thinking of trying to save for a camcorder. Unless they are not very good value for money there.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

Have never bought a camcorder in Boots so this is prob not much help but have quickly checked the price of the JVC GZ MG330 Camcorder on Boots.com and it is £299. You can get it delivered from ebuyer.com for £228 so based on that (admittedly brief search) it would seem that without any reductions Mr B is not competitive. Sorry.

    :)

Hi, in my previous job i sold cameras and camcorders. The best sellers were the dvd mini disks but you really need to check if the disk are RW, if not you cant edit your film and rerecord onto the disk. Although the disks can be quite cheap the bet ones to buy for quality were sony, we did stock other makes but build quality etc were always in sonys favour. I will check out boots.com and see which models they sell.

Just checked out the website, and it only lists hard disk drive ones. They are ok but how would be able to get your data out of the machine if it broke??? If you buy a disk one at least you can get a disk out. Also make sure it is computer enabled - comes with a USB lead. That way you can transfer your films and copy on to numerous disks to give to family/friends if you want to.

JVC are ok, but i would definatly try a larger store and see the camera before you purchase.

    Sorry for the rambling .......

    Morning!

The BOGOF on No7 suncare has now ended.......

    ;)
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

    Hi there,
Sorry to say the No 7 free gift on a £20 spend has now ended.
So has the bogof on suncare.
However all No 7 is now on 3 for 2, including suncare. There is a new gwp on No 7 dream lash mascara though. Sorry it won't let me post a picture for some reason, but here is the link.

I can't offer any advice about buying a camcorder but last year I was saving my points hoping to buy one in Boots.

Unfortunately, by the time I had enough points, all the stores in travelling distance stopped selling them! SA in my local store told me you can order one from the Xmas catalogue and pay with points or try to find a store (she didn't know of any) that still sells them. :(

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet (sorry if I missed it) but with the Max Factor GWP, the sign in my store said free GWP wys £18, and if you spend £25 you get the GWP, plus a vanity case and a booklet of money off coupons with a total value of £21. They didn't have the vanity case on display though, so I guess you'd have to sweet talk the MF SA to get it (so not much opportunity for glitches).
