Short Posts: What am I doing wrong?

I've tried to post some very short posts, but I get a message that my posts have to be a minimum of 10 characters. Why? Can I change this as it seems other posters don't have this problem?

YOU MIGHT SEE THIS! This is how some posters appear to only have one or 2 characters!
(To get it like this they have typed at the beginning of the words they want hidden and at the end. (Or chosen white as the colour in the reply box.)Torgwen.......... ...........0 -
