Ok, Ive had mobile contracts ever since i was 18 ive been pretty wise into there loop holes and there talk to sign u up, so today i got a phone call from phones4u statin that i have been in my contract for a year now and they can get me a new phone and a new tariff, the thing is im in a 18 month contract and vodafone said i cant get an upgrade till september, So the thing i wanna no is has anyone else been contacted from them if so what happened cause id love a new fone and a new tariff, thanx

its a buy out, they pay for the rem,ainder of ur contract and then give u a new one

they buy you out of your existing contract. you will have to change your number and your new tariff will reflect their costs in buying you out and they will push the insurance very hard.

well im not too sure about hard selling the insurance however they reflect it in the phone and tariff rather than anything else ....

My boss at work had a similar problem - the upgrades are sometimes handled by a different company (not sure why?) and they got the contract length wrong. When she phoned the actual network provider they said she couldn't upgrade and apologised for her getting a call from a third party saying she could. They told her 'it happens sometimes'...
