Can you make my fence costing any cheaper?

Well, payday came and our approach to this project completely changed after visiting The Fencing Centre at the weekend.
The duralap panels were awful, flimsy and very dry. The guy we spoke to there certainly didn't recommend them - apparantly they were shipped from Poland on the cheap, and when they arrived they were already dried out and splintering.
We ended getting the panels and posts from Wickes in the end, using their price promise which we were unaware of.
Premium Panels were £14.41 from Kingfishers 'Trade Depot'
Posts were £4.50 from In-Excess.
Wickes priced matched their premium panels £16.49, and posts £9.79 to these prices, giving us a total saving of £108.47 against Wickes normal selling price.
There was no hassel at all, ordered very quickly instore and although our order was less than £300 they also gave us free delivery.
How's that for service then.... well done Wickes.
All being delivered tomorrow :T
P.s Thanks again to Woby_Tide on the In-Excess mention - especially now i know that Wickes will price match without any problems.0 -
how or waht are you using to fix the posts in the ground.... as your figures above dont say..... if you are planning on driving the post themselves into the ground, you will have problems... (unless you aim to charpen one end)

if you are planning on spikes.... you dont sem to have costed that in... or have i missed something?smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

On the 1st post i costed 'Drive-In Post Anchors' and got them earlier.
As we're fencing both sides of the garden without the financial support of our neighbours for their side, we've had to buy bits as we go.0
