EMcG, I'm just interested in how you make sure you get the £50 refer a friend credit also.

It's seems to be via telephone only, which would mean the quidco would be a definite non-starter.

How you had any experience of getting round this, eg can you apply online via quidco and then ring in and give over your friend's details?

    Thanks Pete

You can refer a friend after opening the account so you'll get the £50 but they would loose £50 as the refer fee would come from you and not quidco. So unless you don't really like them and you wish to scam them out out £50 it isn't worth it.

    Searsp,

I asked Virgin and they said that I would have to wait until I received my first bill - then to call customer services and give them the details of my friend who's referring me.

Then the £50 credit would be added to both our accounts in time for the second bill.

Mine tracked pretty much straight away - but then I had an email from Virgin Media saying I had to pay the balance owed by the previous house owner to get service, has anyone else heard of this?

Don't hold your breat waiting for the Refer a Friend money. I refierred my son in March and I'm still waiting. We have been told it will be credited on his 3rd bill - still nothing yet!
