sky if your local exchange is LLU , much less problematic than TT Braodband ( again only if your exchange is TT BB LLU), check https://www.samknows.co.uk for your exchange ( if your not sure how to check, post your postcode and i will check it out for you )
& move calls away from Talk Talk, get onto Primus Penny Mobile & 18185.co.uk & watch your bills fly down - see " homephone " forumSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Regarding service, STAY AWAY from Talk Talk, even with daily calls I gave up trying to get them to provide a Broadband service after 4 months. There customer service knowledge is appalling and the processes and procedures for dealing with connection are none existant - you get no communication from them during the (attmepted) connection process. I gave up and asked SKy to connect me as I currently have Sky TV....so completely different, yes it does cost by comparison to Talk Talk - but they can be bargained with. Letters arrived, equipment arrived on time, text messages were sent to advise on progress, the modem installation was quick and easy and connection went ahead bang on time.
ps I don;t work for Sky!!!!!!!! currently talking Talk Talk - they've offered £150 in compensation compared with the £500 they took off in dial up brioadband costs!0 -
I have applied to get Sky mid broadband and skytalk.I was amazed by how the guy did'nt even know the the calls service does not have a 12 month contract. He thought that if you get the bb and calls, it is all covered by the contract.I hope this poor customer service is not a vision of what is to come?!.Neil0

TalkTalk were and are a nightmare, useless service that crawled at 0.5k/s on downloads, they had a news-server that kept falling over - and they couldn't be bothered to fix it (granted there are other news-servers you can use - but if they couldn't be bothered speaks loads). Then when they let you go for no penalty as they admit their service was poor they continue to bill you and mark your credit file for months and takes phone call after phone call to try and sort out - my credit file I had to write into the two main agencies to get them to sort out the mess on there. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

hi i am with talk talk,i have always paid my monthly bill on time but was late this month by one week, due to a banking error, however talk talk within the week literally blocked my phone line which is a BT phone line, everytime i tried to make a phone call to my doctor i was directed to aol customer service,i was not informed of this practice, and although i knew i was slightly late with my payment i did not has a loyal customer expect this,i am also disabled so my telephone could be my lifeline,i only realised upon trying to phone my doctor, what they had done, disjusting aol,i pay bt for my line, yet they blocked it,however now totally useless phone,so beware if you are dependant upon your phone service aol thinks nothing of blocking your phone line, quite quickly if a payment is delayed ,i had even spoke to a customer service, to state i would need to go to the bank and then pay,but before then my bt phoneline was totally blocked by aol,and my broadband down, without of even being informed of this,i was not so upset by my broadband disconnection, that but some people either elderly, living alone, sick or disabled,it is a nightmare, for a phone block, even when i paid my bill oh dear! one week late by now it was 5hrs before i could make any phone calls to my doctor,or anyone, and two days of constant calling technical support before my broadband was operational, again,i am so disjusted, i left bt to go to aol but i don,t even think bt use such underhand tactics, also i did have a overide code 1280 to make calls via bt if i wanted this service, also is now no longer operational, i now get extra charges because of this. my advice is do not go with aol anyone who thinks this is a good service, has not realised some of the tactics they use.i found out the hard way.0
