I've been reading up on the specs and the Citroen AX is doing well on power to weight. I think that 106 might be preferable, though Fiat Cinquecento is also in consideration.Happy chappy0

That 106 linked to on ebay has possibly been in an accident....
Notice the detail stripes on the drivers side stop at the door meaning it has probably been replaced at some point...
Maybe not a big thing, but something to note and consider...
Oh and for the £1000+ that he wants for it, you could get two of my T-reg saxo 1.1's with less mileage...0 -
The idea of buying a newer car to get good MPG is daft - why spend £6000 on an Aygo to get 60mpg when a £600 AX will do exactly the same - you can buy a lot of diesel with £5400.
And before anyone says anything about older cars not being reliable i would like to say that with proper maintenance driving an older car should not be anymore stressful than driving a newer car.0 -

I've not spent more than £1300 on a car in 15 years and have done around 20K per year.
Current car is a 1991 BMW 318iS which I love. It's actually cheap to run - I'm managing high 36-40mpg from it.Happy chappy0 -
