First house checklist! Please help!

Dont forget stuff like;

tea towels
loo roll
mugs
kettle
tea/coffee/sugar
cutlery
washing up liquid
kitchen /bathroom cleaner - or even better - stardrops which cleans everything!
bleach
scourers
pot brush
washing powder
microfibre cloths or dish cloths
mop and bucket

I don't know if you are in Scotland, but if you are there is usually 7 days to report dodgy stuff (like heating) and have it fixed at the previous owners expense.

Put your heating on - when you move in. Get someone in to service it within the first day or two.

Make sure you take meter readings (even a photo with your phone as it will be time stamped)

No, we're in Essex, if only they did that down here too!

Thanks for all the brilliant ideas all! We shall be spending A LOT upon moving in I think!
We'll try to split lists into what we need RIGHT AWAY, what we would like quickly and what we want eventually.
