Looking at the info on site it doesn't appear to have any cap for the contacts. Can you confirm, or otherwise?

There is no cap to cover the end, but the contacts are sunken into the plastic - I've had mine on my keyring with no ill-effects

If you read the reviews on e-buyer for the smaller drives they all say it's robust

It does come with a plastic (SD Card) case if you want to protect it
