18 Month Mobile Phone Contract

Hi All
Around December last year I bought an 18 month mobile phone contract from a retail high street branch of Orange. It is a business deal for four number users. At the time I knew that one of the guys was leaving for America in August of this year. I explained this at the time, and was clearly told that this would not be a problem as once 6 months had elapsed, I could call Orange and change the deal to ensure that the phone as taken off, and amend any other element of the contract that was not working well for me at the time. So I just called Orange today only to be told that I can not change anything to the contract unless I buy myself out at a cost of £15 per month per person remaining on the contract.

Strangely eneough I did actually see something on the TV not long after signing up for the deal. The show also said that after 6 months I can change things around. Any thoughts anyone?
