Just cause at the mo with petrol with double points anyway, I would like to pay with my bank card and collect the double points too.....maybe using the pay at pump facility...

Hi Lemonade!

It all depends really........

When you applied for your Clubcard Plus, did you give the details of your existing Clubcard? If the answer is yes, then the two cards will have been merged. If the answer is no, then the two cards should theoretically be separate- and therefore your original Clubcard should still be valid (but issuing only one point per pound).

Do you get mailings for both cards that you hold? Or do you get one set of mailings per quarter? This should be a good indicator as to whether or not your cards are merged. If you still get two sets of mailings, they should still be separate.

I'm not sure if this was the type of answer you were looking for- but I hope this information is of some use to you!

Lemonade your original card won't have been cancelled, it may or may not have been merged with your clubcard plus though. I can use my clubcard plus at the self serve tils, but have to wait for someone to authorise my signature.

I am thinking of using my clubcard points for a Cosmos holiday.

The Clubcard website still says Cosmos - Summer Holidays 2008, are they still accepting them for Summer 2009?

Thanks guys, just wanted to make sure if i used my old clubcard then the points wouldn't be lost. Especially when buying petrol after the kiosk has closed.:T

I only get one statement so presume they where merged (did give my clubcard number when appyling for clubcard plus).

with tesco can i save up the points for as long as i want? (like years?)
is it just the deals that expire but i can save points for as long as i want?

No the vouchers they send you each quarter are valid for two years. You have to convert them to deals within the two years and then the deals are normally valid for six months.

However, if you convert the vouchers to deals and then don't use the deals but send them back to Tesco - the points get recredited to your account. So, in theory you could get into a cycle of doing this and not spending the deals so that your points do accumulate

I'm sure that I read of someone doing this before on the MSE boards?

ok i've been racking my brains and it's driving me mad! which forum is it with a tesco deals sub-board that tells you how to get the most from your vouchers when converting them into deals?
