Check Car by Car Breakdown section in https://www.honestjohn.co.uk for info about it.
https://www.whatcar.com clik Valuations - for price guide.
But unless you tell us how new/old you mean, can't help much, really!!
For info, though, current shape high mileage Mondeo are in auction for around £2500, as starting price.
Old model - now just scrap value - however much you want to pay!!Still a practical, OK car, though.
One thing to be aware of, on used models, is to try & find out if the correct oil was used, on the services. it's not one of the super - expensive lubricants you can buy, just a different grade - it should be 5w-30 regardless of brand used.

You'll find the best examples, of these, in Ford main dealers, within the Ford Direct system. They'll be A1 condition & probably £500 or so more than independent dealers.
The Mondeo is a GOOD car, but the negative things I'd say about the one you've identified are...
The spec is to low - it'll have some OK features, but is low down in the range - fleet & daily rental market would choose this trim - not the private buyer. go for AT LEAST Zetec or Ghia.
There'll be hundreds of examles around, come trade in time - so you need any opportunity to set yours apart from the others. Lx won't do this, althogh, guess your mileage will be much lower than a reps car!!
Consider the diesel TDci engines - this is currently more desired than petrol, more than likely to stay that way, too. 15000miles a year is around the mileage to financially benefit, from diesel, but I'm thinking of the selling on again, point of view.
& in this sector of the market, Vectra isn't bad, but Mazda 6 IS FAR SUPERIOR & with a facelift model just coming along, there are good used ones appearing, at discounted prices. Best value trim level is special edition Sakarta (spelling) if you can find one.
In fact, the 6 was, more or less, test bed for the next generation Mondeo & it looks like Ford have done well, first time, 'cos owners have mostly enjoyed their 6's.
TRY ONE!!
& for sources, other than dealers, you'd not go too far wrong in auction, on late models, warranty should still apply, so minimal risk savings to be had!!
Hope this helps.

I have a 03 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI very good car to drive, it has alot more room than the old one. With the one you are looking at it will have cruise control which mine doesn't have, but I have it in my lorry and its well worth having if you are on the motorway alot. Mine is due for an MOT in March so not sure of any big probs yet. I would say that my 2 back doors were the door skin folds over the door has started to rust  but its been in and fixed under the warranty. I broke down once and it was a sensor on th engine. I think most of the probs with this car will of been sorted by the time the 54 plate came out. Get your service done in "Fords" Rapidfit alot cheaper than the main dealer. Look out for the rear middle seatbelt sticking seems to be a comon problem with the Mondeo. Apart from that its like any car, some are good are a nightmare. I think I have one in the middle, but after 3 years of driving it I still like it

Also as you say its less than a year old, if there is anything wrong eith it and I do mean anything get them to replace it. The top of my gear stick was silver "painted" and it wore off, I took it back and they replaced it. That is only for the first year though, so don't be one day late. You do get a 3 year warranty but they won't replace things like that after the first year.0

To the car itself, this is my second Mondeo after owning a 1.8LX MK1 for 6.5 years. Mine has rear electric windows but I believe '04 model year ('53 plate onwards) LX models lost the rear electric windows but gained cruise and a computer?
I average 37 to the gallon doing 10K miles a year - 20 mile round trip to work mainly 40/60 limit country roads.
Absolutely no complaints whatsoever with the car.
Just on the resale value, as another poster mentioned, you'll need to have some unique feature when you come to sell it (ie mileage or condition) because you'll be up against the fleet market "hand-ins". Personally, I had "dealer-free" Zetec 9-spoke alloys fitted to mine so hopefully this is my unique selling feature.
Depreciation isn't a big thing for me because I keep my cars for between 4-6 years generally, but could be significant (even on a '54 plate) if OP sold on in 18-24 months or so.0 -

If your's have not been changed, make sure they have a look before the warranty runs out. Also, and I'm sure you know this but, make sure you take the car for it's MOT at least 2 or 3 weeks before it's due - just in case you need anything doing under the warranty.

Wind noise is the uninvited guest at the party. There’s a rustling at the rear from quite modest speeds that implies a door or window hasn’t been shut properly. Road and suspension noise is absent on all but the most coarse Tarmac
is this true about this car?0
