Great but concerning issue with O2
I am on the PAYG 300 texts + 1Mb WAP from O2 with my 7250i. Thing is, I got the text saying that my texts would be charged at their normal rate because I had not topped up in 30 days (I still have £8.38 left), but it aint charging me for texts / WAP's!
Do I keep going and be happy, or am I risking getting a big bill later on? HELP!

I think you will find you have to top up with £10 each month to get the free texts. This is regardless of whether you spend the £10 or not. Your text will now be charged for until your existing credit runs out.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Yes, this is true - I have known for many phones to do this. Also, be careful because I have once had 2 or 3 SIMs that have been completely locked out because no calls have been made from the phone within 90 days. (Just a quick 2 second call to your home phone every 89 days and then works if you don't use your mobile often!Rikki wrote:I think you will find you have to top up with £10 each month to get the free texts. This has happened to me once or twice, although now they're stopped sending me the warning messages, and just start charging - so I don't know if they are sticking to their 30 days or not.Dan_G wrote:I am on the PAYG 300 texts + 1Mb WAP from O2 with my 7250i. From experience, no they won't just suddenly take a £5 chunk out of your bill because you've sent 50 messages and they forgot to charge you, but they could, so don't take it for granted (ie. just send texts like you normally would and hope you never get charged).0 -
me too - my friends have the same sim as I, yet they just carry on with the texts for free - even after the warning message. i personally dont get any warning messages and they just start charging - none of my friends have EVER been charged for these surplus messages so hopefully you should be okay and thats over 2 years of use lol. enjoy while you can! they'll probably stop sometime sadly
