Been with Virgin for many years now, but I am annoyed that the past few times i have phoned up, it's been either an african or indian call centre and they cant understand me. i can't be bothered with this so am considering moving to another network, and so far, orange seems to be the best choice. I registered a sim card with them but for some reason it hasnt been activated yet so i can't use it (they said i had to wait for a text.)
Anyway, been comparing all the main networks. There was a link on here that was to a comparison site for all the payg networks which i could really do with if anyone has it as google isn't much use in finding such a site.

I'm thinking of orange canary at the minute. I don't want to pay more than 20p to other networks, preferably 15p, and i dont want any of that '30p for the first 3 minutes' rubbish as mostly i only use the phone for a couple of minutes at a time anyway. I'm not interested in bolt ons or extras either, but would like free mins/texts, or a percentage back on my top ups, which is why the canary one seems to be the best. I phone and text all networks so something like mates rates would be useless to me.

Does anyone know of a better package to suit me that i havent found yet?
also which of the major networks DOESNT use a flaming foreign call centre?!
Thanks.

Oh, and is it usual for orange to have activated your sim but can't use the phone over half an hour later?

My phone was activated on Orange almost immediately after calling their contact centre.

I think the chance of finding a UK contact centre today is becoming less and less likely, given the financial proposition offered by Asian operations employing staff at 10% of the UK cost model.

3 have some quite good PAYG deals and am considering switching myself. A £10 top up gets you 100 minutes or £15 gets you 300 minutes and voicemail is free. You also get a free £10 credit when you transfer your number over to 3.

Here's a link to the tariffs.
