Good luck with the rental. Hope it all works out well for you. I've got fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you for the credit checks. Mine were as bad as expected and i still got the rental from EA and LL so i'm sure you'll be fine with offering extra rent upfront and a guarontor there is no real risk to the LL.
Good luck.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for crossing everything for us regarding the credit checks!!
Both my wife and I read through your threads earlier and feel that you have battled through many tribulations to arrive at your BR status today. You are to be admired for how brave and open you have been about your low points.
We both really wish you all the best luck in the world and hope you will find happiness and peace in your life now:)0 -

Got mine crossed for you too
Luckily managed to avoid a credit check myself and just had my guarantor checked, some LA's won't allow this though and want to check everyone:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -

Thank you m8. Glad my ramblings have helped you. i say things as they are, I now know it does nothing to hide these inside and once out in the open we can all help and support each other on this merry go round they call life!:D
True i have battled some horrible low points and have come through them but without this forum i wouldnt have managed at all and who knows may not be around today, i know that seems a wee bit over dramatic but to be honest i think its true.
Good luck and i trully hope it all works out for you and your wife for the new place..please keep us all well informed.

You are so right Dave, bottling everything up does nobody any good at all. Without this forum we would be lost too!
Thank goodness you found this forum and we are so glad that you are still around, the world needs people like you and don’t you forget it! If it wasn’t for people like you who are brave enough to post their true feelings and telling their problems, many of us would truly not know where to turn. So thank you to you and all the brave people who contribute to this forum.
We will post to say how we progress with the rental and no doubt will be asking many more questions regarding BR when the time comes.
Thanks again:)0 -
Thanks Waspeze!
Maybe that will happen with us, can but hope!!0 -
Hi All,
Just an update:
We have been approved for our rental today, all that that is needed now is the form signed by my brother as guarantor, which the LA has sent off to him, but they needed a date from us first. We were thinking of moving towards the end of July, they were thinking next week!! Anyhow, we have managed to get a date for the week after that. We need some time to sort everything out here first!!
The bond was paid with the admin fees taken in to the LA on Monday, the day before we move in to the rental, we have to pay the three months upfront rent and sign the contract.
So, basically that’s it – we’re in, panic mode has now set in and we are feeling a little paranoid that my brother will renege on becoming a guarantor!! Don’t think he will for one minute, but ever since getting our heads from out of the sand in October last year, nerves tend to make us quite panicky!
I don’t know about anyone else but we seem to worry (probably totally unnecessarily) that things will not work out or will go wrong since we’ve been in financial turmoil! Once we have got settled into the rental, the next hurdle will be BR, so I’ve no doubt lots more questions will be asked. We’ve had that much grief from our creditors and some nasty DCA’s, it will be a great relief to get the BR over and done with as soon as we can.
Anyway, I’m probably rambling so will close now! Thanks for reading0
