Hi
I have had a problem recently with my PC. It seems to not recognise my E drive CD/DVD Rewriter. I have tried all sorts from System restore to Rollback driver to no avail. I have tried to update driver but it says nothing is more up to date than the one I have.
The driver sems to be working OK according to device manager but my PC is not recognising it.
Had the Blue screen last night and again this morning with the following info.
BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
***STOP: 0x000000FE ( 0x00000004 , 0x859105c0 , 0x 86AA8008 , 0x00000000 )
Any Ideas as I am at a loss.
Many thanks

Is it an external drive?0
-
No. It is built in.

What USB devices do you have connected to your pc when this happens?0
-
None at all. I did recently buy a stick key memory thing. Dont know if that would have done anything0

I can take a deeper look into this for you when I'm at home, but first I'll need a few files off your computer that were created when the BSOD happens.
Do you have Winzip?
If so, can you zip up the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump. I'll drop these into a debug program and see exactly what went wrong at the time of it and then we can take it from there.
When you've done it, give me a PM and i'll give you my email address to send it over too.0 -
