I am considering to transfer my cash isa to get a better rate of interest. The bank I am considering is a private bank - The Julian Hodge Bank. In the unlikely event of the bank going belly up will I be covered by the FSCS.

I've no direct knowledge, but according to what I've read on this forum, they are covered by the FSCS.Debbie0

Good idea if rates are good - you might get better/quicker service than from the likes of Nationwide.0 -
I've had several FRISAs with Julian Hodge over the years & have always found their customer service to be excellent, they are covered for deposits up to £35k under the FSCS.
Just be aware that, on maturity, you only have a 14-day window of opportunity to transfer or withdraw funds, otherwise their normal Cash ISA terms will apply, which require 3 months notice to do so without an exit fee.0
