Thanks for that Older not wiser. Funny I was thinking along those lines last night, too. I'd never thought of it in the past. I am going to approach her about it, not so sure it will go down too well though as most things I suggest don't.

Get her to think it's her own idea; that usually works.

If she is 24, I am not sure if a Foyer would take her or not: I know it's usually for no more than 2 years, and I don't know if the cut-off point is your 25th birthday or your 26th birthday.

She would probably turn her nose up at the YWCA or Girls Friendly Society, but if there were local activities she might find them very supportive. YMCA sometimes have medium term accommodation, just to help her get out.

But as onw says, getting HER to think of it and do it is the key!

Well, had no luck with the Uni thing or working abroad. She says they have given notice on the apartment and she is going it alone. Has now only 4 weeks to sort it. she is going to look at a place which I think is too expensive but there seems to be nothing cheaper. It only has one bedroom so no chance of getting anyone to share. she has decided to do some babysitting for extra money. As she works at a nursery her boss has said she will mention her services to some of the parents. It would be a good idea (It was mine actually but I did as you said and let her think it was hers!!!!LOL). I get the feeling she will not stop seeing the guy, reading between the lines. I only hope she comes to her senses, sooner rather than later. She is adamant that she will not come home to live. To be honest it is probably for the best as she once came home before at it was a nightmare trying to fit all her stuff in and trying to use the bathroom, everyone seemed to want it at once!!!
    Keep on trucking!
